What is WALIO
WALIO is the Native Token for the Walio Platform. Its primary use is as a Utility Token.
WALIO is a BEP20 Token, built on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The BSC was chosen due to is rapid transaction times, relatively low transaction fees and growing community of supporters, users and developers.
How is WALIO used
WALIO is used for a variety of purposes throughout the Walio Platform. It is used in a Reward mechanism, that rewards Merchants and their Customers for sales or payments made. This is a way to add more value to the Walio Platform for its users.
Walio is also used as a way for Merchants to reduce their fees. By holding a certain amount of WALIO in their Merchant Account balance each month, can reduce payment processing fees on their Merchant account. Merchant's can also elect to pay for certain fees in WALIO to receviece a 25% discount on them. can also be used to pay for Products on a Merchant account, greatly expanding the accounts usability and features.
Tokenomics
WALIO has a maximum supply of 300,000,000 tokens.
The smallest value is 0.00000001 (precision of 8, similar to sats in Bitcoin)
Vesting Periods
The Development Team has a massive amount of confidence in Walio, what we do, and its future success. For this reason, we have chosen to have a total vesting period of 5 years (60 months) for the Team's share of WALIO.
The Development Team's Vesting period will begin after the first Token Generating Event. It will involve 3 release stages, the first starting after 12 months.
